To direct, supervise and advise on the development of the
GASCO Environmental Strategies and to provide support for it's implementation.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or
Environmental Science with minimum 10 years of experience in similar role in
oil and gas industry.
BACKGROUND:
The gas processing and extraction of natural gas liquid
takes place at the Asab, Bu Hasa and Habshan/Bab Plants. The processed products
are then transferred to the Ruwais Plant for fractionation, to ADCO for
re-injection, to other ADNOC OPCOs and to industrial customers by an extended
network of pipelines. GASCO is undertaking a major expansion program that will
increase its processing capacity and complexity. In addition, GASCO is
implementing a large number of plant modifications and equipment replacement
projects for its existing facilities.
This growth requires the employment of a significant number
of additional contractors and the recruitment of a large number of permanent
staff, all from different backgrounds and countries. It is a major challenge
for the Senior Environmental Engineer is to ensure that the environmental
issues receive sufficient attention; to strive imaginatively for the continuous
improvement of HSE performance. It is also a major challenge to support
effective management of environmental risks, continuous improvement in
environmental performance and the development of a proactive approach to
environmental protection across the Company.
