Category Specialist – Procurement
Desired Profile
Bachelors degree in engineering or supply chain management or equivalent
A minimum of 8 years procurement related experience, preferably in the oil and gas or Engineering sector
Experience developing category strategy, and category plans, and identifying opportunities to optimize total cost of ownership through the supply chain.
Experience with strategic sourcing, planning and conducting negotiations, measuring and managing supplier performance, and balanced scorecard development.
Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate a cross-functional team in strategy development, project planning and execution.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team, build consensus and resolve issues. Proactive communicator who establishes a good customer network and stakeholder relationships
Demonstrated ability to conduct various types of assessments and analyses to fully understand a particular market and develop appropriate strategies for the category.
Ability to develop cost models and total cost of ownership models.
Ability to develop a sound business case based on analyses.
