Senior Corrosion
Engineers
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
-Provides expertise and assumes responsibility for areas
related to Corrosion Monitoring and Control in Ruwais Refinery Division.
Reviews the metallurgy of the equipment and piping and makes recommendations
for upgrading as required. Reviews the operating conditions to assess and
monitor corrosive condition and evaluates the material performance in all
corrosive systems.
-Reviews the metallurgy for the modifications and major
projects. Updates procedures and specifications related to Corrosion Management
and Inspection activities and recommends repairs/operating parameters to extend
the life of equipment and piping.
-Carries out failure analysis and failure investigations in
order to enhance safety and integrity of the plant. Supervises the cathodic
protection system upkeep and monitoring of piping, tanks, marine and concrete
structures. Updates/prepares the records and Corrosion/Inspection files for the
plant and equipment.
Responsibilities:
-Conducts corrosion monitoring and corrosion control for the
plants equipment, storage tanks and pipelines and prepares periodic corrosion
reports.
-Reviews the existing cathodic protection systems design,
highlights problems and suggests improvements.
-Reviews project specifications for corrosion control,
material and quality assurance aspects.
-Reviews the inspection/ corrosion observations and analyzes
the same after turnaround and on-stream inspections and makes necessary
recommendations.
Reviews the existing corrosion monitoring tools and advises
upgrading as required.
-Reviews the Corrosion control policies/ procedures and
upgrades the same as required.
-Carries out on site metallography using replica techniques,
evaluates microstructure condition and issue reports.
-Carries out thorough and detailed review of all RRD units
to define the corrosion loops and carries out detailed study to meet the
requirements of Risk Based I inspections,

Engineers
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Provides specialized technical guidance and support in the
Maintenance engineering, troubleshooting and failure analysis of a wide range
of instrumentation and associated control systems, such as PLCs, DCS, SCADA
system etc. Reviews and participates in
the design and development of related projects. Prepares statement of
requirements for new projects.
Participates in technical bid evaluation. Provides assistance to development
engineering, Operations and studies the performance of major packages. Assesses
the reliability of critical control packages and makes recommendations for
their enhancement. Studies and recommends ways to enhance their reliability.
Participates in the preparation of annual budgets and five-year plans.
Supervision
-Directs and supervises the maintenance activities of
assigned personnel in the unit. Performs supervisory functions and exercises
financial authority at the level established by Management for the position.
-Provides engineering back-up to Control Maintenance
personnel on various maintenance issues to achieve high plant performance and
reliability.
-Carries out troubleshooting of plant problems, participates
in failure analysis of critical control systems and recommends corrective
actions etc.
-Reviews and updates maintenance procedure for control
systems and instrumentations.
Un-schedule / Schedule Maintenance
-Supervises the implementation of predictive, preventive,
corrective, modification and major shutdown maintenance programmes and
participates in the preparation of such programmes.
-Establishes requirements for major repairs or replacement
of spare parts and provides advice on actions to be taken on arising problems.
-Determines work priorities with other concerned personnel.

Shift Supervisors
Propane
BASIC FUNCTION
Coordinates and supervises on assigned shift, the operation
of diversified and critical petroleum refining, hydroskimming, gas processing,
and utilities plants in a safe and efficient manner to ensure the production,
processing and distribution of diversified petroleum, gas and chemical products
meeting specified qualities and quantities within the designated area.
Coordinates periodic checks, adjustments and maintains follow-up on all
maintenance activities in his respective operating area. Completes shift supervisor
log book and other work reports noting state of operating plants, corrective
action taken and highlighting other items of plant that need further attention.
Supervises plant start-ups, shutdowns and emergencies as per the established
procedures.
WORK PERFORMED
-Supervises and coordinates the activities of all
Operations, Maintenance and Safety & Fire personnel within his assigned
operating areas on shift basis. Performs supervisory functions at the level
established by management for the position.
-Takes over shift from off-going Shift Supervisor with
details of any operational irregularities or changes during previous shift.
Reviews operating data, monitors general operational or maintenance activities
in the various sections, and establishes status at the start of shift. Hands
over job and completed own logbook in an orderly and efficient manner to
incoming Shift Supervisor at the end of his shift
-Participates in critical operating procedures on his shift
to provide control and coordination which includes start-up and shutdown,
commissioning and testing of new equipment and dealing with any emergency
situation which may arise according to correct procedures.
-Conducts daily inspection tours of all operating units to
ensure smooth running and that all auxiliary equipment such as rotating and
stationary equipment (i.e. pumps, compressors, coolers, vessels, heat
exchangers, instruments etc.) are in good operating condition. Ensures the safe
custody of all Company assets under his responsibility.

Basic Functions
Directs, controls and supervises the Process Engineering
Section West in the study of Ruwais Refinery processing plants, utilities,
offsites and marine loading facilities to assist in the quality performance and
development of project proposals related to process configuration and
production capacity.
Minimum Requirements:
-B.E. in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
-Minimum 15 years experience in process engineering,
including 5 years in a senior supervisory position.
-Extensive experience in process analysis and assessment and
development of production improvement strategies
-Technical knowledge of refining production operations and
processes
-Excellent communication skills
-Computer literate
-Excellent decision making abilities
-Excellent interpersonal communication and problem solving
skills
-Attention to detail
-Strong analytical ability
-Very good command of oral and written English. Arabic

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Provides coordination and support to the Offsites Department
Manager and Section Heads to ensure safe, efficient and optimal functioning of
the Oil Movement Section East, Oil Movement Section West and Jetty Section
activities to ensure reliable, efficient and safe operations at optimum cost.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Coordination of Operations:
-Coordinates operational activities in the Oil Movement
East, Oil Movement West and Jetty Sections, troubleshoots problems and provides
technical support to the Department Manager and Section Heads.
-Coordinates with the relevant engineering disciplines in
the data collection for new projects, audits and surveys.
-Participates in the review of new projects’ scope and
design.
-Participates in profit improvement proposals, performance
and capacity test runs.
-Contributes to taskforce and investigation committees and
plant safety inspection tours.
-Liaises with the concerned staff in the Integrity and
Engineering Department on troubleshooting and the elimination of recurring
problems, highlighting maintenance work to be carried out.
-Monitors the standards and procedures in each area and
ensures the application of current legislation.
-Ensures that product quality targets are met without
compromising safety, environment and cost objectives.
-Participates in audits and benchmarking studies to improve
competitiveness and profitability of the operations and ensures timely
reporting of same to the Offsites Department Manager.
