Job Description - Drafting of spot and term oil and LNG sale and purchase contracts/contract responses/confirmation notices.
- Reviewing and ensuring incoming contracts accurately reflect the terms agreed as recorded and are fit for purpose.
- Drafting counters to contracts/responses received, seeking advice from and discussing with Traders and/or Commercial Advisors, if necessary.
- Proactively monitoring amendments made by Traders and drafting amendments, if required.
- Proactively following up and ensuring that contract confirmations are sent and received in timely fashion.
- Reviewing and, if necessary, checking the use of non-standard wording in contracts with the Commercial Advisors.
- Drafting and editing standard master sales and purchase agreements in consultation with Commercial Advisors.
- Maintaining a complete electronic deal record incorporating contract documents and amendments and a record of appropriate authorities obtained.
- Tracking of and arranging for execution of contractual documentation as required and in consultation with Commercial Advisors.
- Drafting mutually agreed contract formats with counterparties, in consultation with Commercial Advisors.
- Proactively creating and maintaining contract templates in consultation with Commercial Advisors.
- Records management of hard copy contracts.
Requirements   Fluent in spoken and written English
Required to work a Monday to Friday work week
Experience of drafting or reviewing contracts is required, preferably in a commercial/trading environment
Good communication skills, attention to detail, team working and ability to work under time pressure essential.
