area of expertise, with proven experience on project execution, operation and
maintenance related to
Responsibilities
-Transformer technology and related global industry
standards and practices (IEEE, IEC)
-Design studies on Transformers, with knowledge readily
available on insulation types (epoxy, mineral oil, natural ester oil, silicon
oil, paper, Nomex).
-Transformer specification safety/cost/benefit analysis,
selection and application
-Equipment characteristics of global operating manufacturers
of Transformers
-Degradation and failure mechanisms of transformer
insulation systems.
-Condition monitoring techniques and analysis of monitoring
results
-Harmonic filter and power factor compensation filters and their
influence on the characteristics of the power supply
-Short circuit limiting chokes, captive transformers, arc
furnace transformers.
The candidate must show:
-Contribution to RCA on expertise area failures
-Knowledge on testing of transformers during FAT as well as
reenergizing after repair.
-FMEA review of equipment in relevant areas of expertise
-Development of company standards on relevant areas of
expertise
-Participation and leading in international conferences and
publishing of papers in relevant areas of expertise

Furnace Process Expert (All Olefin Sites) | Saudi Arabia
Purpose of Position
-Provide Process Expertise relevant to Olefin Furnaces in
order to achieve best in class performance in the areas of EHSS, Cost,
Reliability, Energy Efficiency, and capacity utilization across all Olefins
plants globally.
This will be achieved through;

-Development of Best Practices and Manufacturing Standards.
Responsibilities:
-Conduct required studies to achieve higher potential for
energy efficiency by revamping of ageing furnaces.
-Building knowledge base for Future Technologies, OTC / OCT
and Feedstock Flexibility through Advanced Catalytic Olefins technology, Anti
cocking Application, Advance Tube Metallurgy.
-Work with Furnace Expert Group and Affiliates to achieve
best possible yield.
-Develop Best Practices and Manufacturing Standards that
improves furnace performance globally.
-Develop furnace performance KPIs and work with affiliates
to trace the furnace performance globally and develop improvement
recommendations.
-Work with Furnace Expert Group to develop strategic
alliance with OEMs for technological strength, handling complexity, Operational
Excellence including revamps and bottlenecks.
-Support development of SABIC own Technology.
-Participate in benchmarking activities in the areas of
Furnaces and set performance improvement recommendations. Also work as consultant to affiliates to
check and qualify gap closing actions.
-Work as active team member in the Furnace Expert Group in
addition to acting as Process Domain core team member.
-Support all networking activities emerging from the Furnace
Expert Group and Process Domain.
-Disseminate knowledge and expertise to affiliates personnel
through training, troubleshooting and various networking activities.
-Participate in complex RCAs in furnace area in specific and
process area in general.
-Resolve Olefin furnaces related to petrokemya
(SABICaffiliate), chronic issues and MSRs.
Education & Training:
-B.E. in Chemical Engineering.
-Minimum 15 years experience in the area of Olefin Furnaces
process technical support.
-Have worked with more than one furnace design and plant.
-Participated in furnace and plant wide TA planning,
optimizing and execution.
-Participated in RCAs and HAZOP reviews and
qualified/certified in both.
-Has conducted multiple energy studies.
